My friend has a problem with his homepage in that everytime he sets it, it automatically changes it to http:/// (that is correct, 3 back slashes) so nothing opens up.

Check spywareinfo.com. It sounds like this is a problem with spyware. Also, try another browser (firebird or something) and see if it does the same thing.

Ok, well the address on his computer keeps putting his homepage to http:/// (yes 3 forward slashes)

Ran Ad-aware.
Ran Spybot.
Ran Spyware Blaster.

Nothing.

Had a similiar problem---we ran
HIJACKTHIS AND
CWSHREDDER
to get it cleaned out of the register--Adaware and Sypbot
did not do the job..
