Runtime Errors
Is anybody else experiencing a large number of Runtime Errors? At first I had just a handful but now they are becoming quite the annoyance!!!! Anybody? Is it just me and my POS Dell? Thanks

could be a corrupted dll, virus or rogue program, what sort of runtime errors? if its the same kind over and over, its likely software, its random ones you might have bad memory
take a look in the event log in windows system admin and see if they all look the same |

What is your Operating System?
In XP or 2000, right-click on My Computer and click on Manage. This is a good place to access all kinds of information.

Under Windows 2000/XP:
Right click "My Computer", select "Manage" You should see the "Event Viewer" option in the left pane. Select it and choose which log you want (probably the System log). As to the Runtime errors: I can't say I've gotten any of them - make sure your computer is up to date ( www.windowsupdate.com ) and you have antivirus software & a firewall. If you still get the errors, check and see if there are specific programs you have running every time you crash.

I was getting some runtime errors a while back and found that it was due to bad memory. There are some good memory testers out there.
Here is the one that I used: http://www.memtest86.com/

I did something wild and wacky. I downloaded Mozilla's Firebird browser and eureaka!!! No more errors! Now my question is this: How do I get a desktop icon of the Firebird browser for my desktop. Since I downloaded it I have had to keep opening the zipped folder I downloaded from Mozilla. I would just like an icon for my desktop. Can anyone help me with that? All your help has been much, much appreciated. Thanks
