I am thinking of buying my girlfriend a MP3 player for Christmas but she isn't allowed to install anything on her office laptop that she uses for personal use.

Except for the Nomad Muvo are there any MP3 players that let you drag and drop MP3's as if it were an external memory device without installing a program? I think she would be allowed to install the driver.

there are lots that use CF cards or MMC cards, then you just need a reader, most readers dont require drivers in XP, they just appear as a drive, i'm sure some of them also appear as usb drives, again without the need for drivers (XP)
