Need help with a horse.....
A Trojan horse that is...
noticed my Zone alarm fire wall was missing---then Mrs.B started having trouble getting a response from Ebay.....I rebooted and got an unusual (small) red screen from AVG that said I had a Trojan horse called Mindnlo.exe. It was located at C:\Mindnlo.exe. and that I should reboot using my boot disk, and then use my AVG recovery disc to try and heal the Trojan horse.....(never seen that before). Well it would not reboot off of the boot disc---so I booted it up in DOS mode.... (the old training now comes back to me). got to the C: drive and deleted the Trojan horse. rebooted, and it came up ok, Found Mindnlo in two windows files and edited them out. Everything is running OK. The problem is, I can not find any reference to Mindnlo.exe in any virus encyclopedia. found only a couple of reference on Google search... has any one got any info on this Trojan???? running a Dell V350 with win98-se. and AVD virus scanner. |

i would just make sure your virs scanner def files are up to date and if possible like i can do with symantec and norton av submit the virus to them for testing so they can create an update for it. it is probably nothing more than a variant of another virus, most viruses are all variants in some form or another of some other virus that came before and someone thought hey why not make this one better than the last to mess more shit up.
