ATI Radeon 9800XT
 

Any thoughts on this card?

I'm not sure if the XT is different but they should be similar enough that the previous disscusion will yeild the current thoughts on the 9800's in general.

The XT isn't worth spending the money on. If you want a new videocard, buy a Radeon 9800 Pro or GeForce FX 5900 Ultra. Both offer superb performance and their prices are falling. The XT is simply too costly for how much extra you gain from the Pro to the XT.

The only reason someone would want the TX right now is if they had money to blow, or if they wanted to be one of the few to have a wicked card AND a voucher for Half-Life 2. The only difference between the TX and the 9800PRO 256mb is the TX is clocked Higher, and has much better cooling, stock. I just got a 9800 128mb and am very happy with it.
