Hardware Architecture and Datapath
Welp, nearing the end of the semester and I have to do a 10-page paper on the hardware architecture / datapath, etc. of just about anything such as Cell Phones, Playstation, X-Box, etc.
I normally dont have any trouble with research papers but I cant seem to find hardly anything, which brings me to the reason I am posting here. I was wondering if anyone has any really good resource sites for this kind of information. Along with the paper I am required to turn in a power point presentation with flowcharts and all that good stuff ![]() Thanks in advance!

check both IBM's and Intel's whitepapers, many of which are availible online in their knowledge bases.

Yeah, you can usually get that information from whitepapers on vendor websites.
Depends on how much detail you need, however...

The products you are talking about are embedded systems. These systems have a proceesor wich has a reduced instruction set, also known as RISC processors.
I know one manufacturer: MIPS technologies. (I had to write a paper on embedded systems too but it's in Dutch so not verry usfull to you.) You can check their website or seach for embedded systems or RISC processor with a searchengine.

Thanks for all the responses. I have worked with a bit of MIPS myself in class and written some rather basic programs using it.
However, I decided to do the paper on Cellphones and have found the ARM website to be rather useful. I'm having a bit of trouble finding out which version of ARM is used in the cellphones, etc. but I just wanted to say thanks for all the replies... this will help alot.
