maping network drives
i got a network between a few computers and i wanna just be able 2 acesss any of the comps HD from any of them...so its just one big share....im using win xp pro....and the only way i found to do it is right click on all the folders in the whole HD and share them.....and then map the drive on the others....is there a way 2 make a whole HD shared without doing all that clicking?

I just right click on my c: drive and go to Sharing and Security to share the entire hard drive. It works everytime, even though you gotta be careful who you're sharing it with (I sure as hell don't have it shared now at college).

when i did that then they cant acess any of the folers in the c drive....just the c drive in the files right in the c drive and not in folders

That's weird! It shares all of the folders as well whenever I do it. Maybe some type of odd setting is changed that only allows the direct files on the drive to be shared? I've never heard of that before.

It sounds to me like you prob need to either set the permissions on the folders for either everyone or the id that you entered for them to access it. I.e. they don't even have view/read only permissions to all the directories... basically you gave them permissions to the drive/share, but now you need to give them permissions to the folders as well.
