The most insignificant question
I realize this question is hardly the most vital or most pressing question this forum has ever answered but this problem annoys the sh**&#&&#^#*#*#*t out of me. This concerns IE6 and the Links folder in "My Favorites." First I tried to delete it but it kept reappearing. I don't need links to Hotmail, Disney, Windows Media Player, CNN, etc. So I tried to delete the individual links. That seemed to work better but the Hotmail, MSN (or all the Microsoft ones) kept reappearing also. My problem is in all the other "My Favorites" folders I have created, "Hobbies," "Computer", "Resources," etc. the links all alphabetize themselves except in the "Links" folder. I have tried to do it myself but the next time I open Explorer it goes back to some jumbled mess. Is there some way I can "auto-arrange" these links, alphabetically, myself? Thanks for any hints, tips, suggestions, etc.

I'm not sure about categorizing them, but I right click on the Links folder and make it "hidden" right when I installed Windows XP. It's still there, but ya can't see it!

Neato,
Thank you for the suggestion but, alas, it still doesn't work. I tried to "Sort" them as you instructed but the next time I opened Explorer they, the links, went back to way the way they were before. Thanks, though for the suggestion.

Try downloadingTweakui from Microsoft.
I'm not sure about the version for Windows 9x/NT (it sounds like you're using Windows 98, right?), but for Windows XP, it does have an option to disable the Links folder in Favorites. Hope this helps. Itchy93 PS In case I'm wrong, and you're using Windows XP, Tweakui for XP |

itchy,
I am using XP and I do have a copy of TweakUI already downloaded. I went and re-explored Tweak for the tool something resembling the one you mentioned and I couldn't find it. Could you please point out specifically where it is? It would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks
