.rar files
I've just downloaded a file that is in .rar format. The problem is that my winrar copy is expired. Is there any other way to use this file without spending $30 on a copy of winrar?

I'm a bit confused but, I've never had a version of WinRAR expire (all trial versions). Did they change their policy now?

Thanks for the help guys.
I downloaded an archiver called Power Archiver 2002. It works pretty much like winrar, but it too has a timed trial period. Secret Method- I didn't think they had a time limit on the trial version of Winrar either. I went back and looked at it and it says it has a 40-day trial period. I couldn't even re-download the program and get it to run.

Have you tried using winace? When the trial is over, it just bugs you but i don't think that it actually expires, but that may have changed in the newer version. http://www.winace.com

eww, I've had problems with winace. For some reason, it always ran slow. I'd go for Ultimatezip - http://www.ultimatezip.com - over winace. *shudder*
