Used Winamp 3 for a video player, but now I've found programs such as Elecard and BSplayer... So I will be rejoining the faithful 2.8

*mmmm.... J key*

I've been using Winamp3 for a while now.
I've switched back to Winamp2 a couple times, but I keep coming back to 3 because it has feature that I can't give up now.
All it takes is the right components to make it kick ass
Here's the component for the J key that you wanted: http://www.winamp.com/components3/de...onentId=132996

And I love this one - It's a hotkey component: http://www.winamp.com/components3/de...onentId=118998

Winamp 3 is bloatware. I downgraded to 2.9 which I currently use.

I have no problems with Winamp 3, I don't see why everyone hates it so much. I just didn't install all the video shit, and told it to only play the types of files I wanted... it wasn't that difficult. It does eat a tiny bit of resources but once it's open I have no problems, it just takes an extra second to get it open. That, and I love the skins I can get for it. Makes it not even look like Winamp.

Tried winamp3 for a few weeks. Same bad experience as most people posted. Made the mistake of somehow closing the video window and damn near never found it again. Winamp 2 was much better.

Well aparently the people who made winamp 3 also hate it cuz they have started working on a winamp that will combine winamp 2's easibility with winamp 3's nice features.

For now stick with 2.

Tried WinAmp 3 for a couple weeks...loaded slow, such a RAM hog, and half the decent skins were unstable at best.

And not good for an AMD 700 with 128 Mg pc100 RAM
