Well, you have to ask yourself what your going to use it for: what apps are you going to be running that NEED a fast graphics card? You're not going to want to run games, that's what the 4200 is for. Photoshop, graphic/video editing? Maybe a tad more understandable... but I don't do enough of that to know the importance of a high end card. If you're deadset on getting a highend PCI card tho, the GeForce FX 5600 comes in PCI form, but I'ven only seen it at Best Buy...made by BFGTech, I believe. Newegg has some Radeon 9000's and 5200's that are dualhead for ~70-80... and I know there's a dualhead GF4 MX PCI card that's nice, cheap, and dualhead. Good luck, check some sites like ww.Newegg.com and tell us how you do.

um if your running photoshope you dont need speed for your secondary cards

you want a main card for 3d games (4200)
then get some 32 meg gforce2 for the secondary should do the trick

I have a old Matrox 4mb card in one of my systems as a second GFX Card, and its running fine for everything, as long as your not using Overlay or 3D on the monitor its perfect. But you can pick up a cheap Geforce 2 that will be an excellient dual monitor display. Another option you could go for is a older ATI Card that is PCI and has Dual Monitor itself, then you have room for expansion to 3 monitors.

Yeah, you dont need anything fancy to drive the second monitor. I run a Radeon 8500 to drive my primary, and a 5 year old 4mb POS Matrox I had lying around to drive the second. Works like a charm--I run it at 1280x1024, 32 bit color, 70hz refresh and dont see any slowing down at all. Since most anything that will really use a graphics card hard (read: games) is going to use the primary monitor, the secondary card doesnt matter as much.

My advice? Like Dilbert said, go find a cheap used PCI card somewhere (eBay maybe?).
