scrolling problem
Hey, I have my comp with XP, and for some reaosn my mouse decided to start autoscrolling on me whenever I clickedon a page with my left button, it shows this round white circe, with an arrow up and one down, with a circle in between, and when I move my mouse above it it scrolls up at an increasing rate, and likewise downwards.
it's really really annoying, I've tried reinstalling my mouse, installing mouseware from logitech (didn't have it before) and nothing has helped. anyone have any idea before I toss this out the window? |
Do you have a scrollmouse? The arrow/circle indicates Autoscroll mode, which is typically triggered by clicking on the middle button (which is under the scroll wheel). My guess is the mouse itself is busted. Can you plug it into a friend's computer to see if it does the same thing there?

what redlemon said is true. With that being said, yoiur mouse may be malfunctioning. When you click the left button it is also 'clicking' the center wheel.
Get a new mouse or try to clean the current one. |
