Merging Active Directory forests.

Is it possible to merge two existing Active Directory directories into one directory? If so, what would be the proper way to go about this? I don't have any specifics I can give yet, my boss just told me to look into this. If possible, I guess I would make a new forest, and bring both forests under the new one.

I'm a network engineer, why he gave this to me I have no clue. =/

Yes, you can merge forests. I haven't done it but it's available under Windows Server 2003 and I think there's a utility for Windows 2000.

A Google search or two and a search on MS' site should give you what you need.
