Recommend a computer desk for a small studio apartment
Can anoyne recommend a computer desk for a small studio apartment? I need something that is small yet sturdy and can support a 19" monitor, and have room to write and put stuff.

i like the jerker desks from ikea. i don't know if you would consider them small or not. however, i live in a very tiny studio apartment, and i have two of them in here, plus a third desk, so.... ;-)
unlike a lot of ikea stuff, this desk is really sturdy. it's primarily steel tubing. it does look very techno, so that might not appeal to you. it's very adjustable and you can get various add-ons. i don't think you'd want to put that monitor on the upper shelf of the desk, unless you brace it a bit better. i have some heavy stuff on mine, and i just cut a little stick to brace the shelf against the main desk. it's behind my monitors so i don't really see it. |

i used an ikea desk. i too have a 19" monitor. <a href="http://www.ikea-usa.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10101&storeId=12&categoryId=10390&langId=-1&parentCats=10121*10390&cattype=sub">here's</a> what ikea's got right now... the one i have isn't listed there, but then again, i got mine three years ago.

i used to live in a teeny apt..and i had the best puter desk.
it was a corner unit, so the desktop was triangular. plenty of space for desktop, and the *best* thing was it had a nice wide shelf below, and cubby/unit/shelves above..so it was like 6 feet tall or something. i stored a LOT of stuff in that thing dunno where to get one tho, i bought it off a friend for 50$. good luck.
