I have GeForce4 MX440 in an Athlon 1900XP system running Windows XP Home Edition. Downloaded and installed the new driver. Looks and works OK so far. No bad news = good news?

A friend of mine downloaded and installed it on his GeForce4 440 Go 64MB and reported a loss of about 300 points on 3DMark2001SE.
I haven't tried it yet on my GF4 Ti4600 -- no time to do so, but I'll probably end up doing it just to see what happens.

drivers are never DESIGNED for all cards, so I would say give them a try and if u dont like em revert. About the 300 loss, perhaps Nvidia is actually doing something about there "optimizations" aka image quality cut on 3dmark2001/3.

New nVidia Drivers
With the new drivers came the Media Center which attached itself to my startup menu. Do I need this Media Center running in order for the new drivers to work properly? Just wondering. Thanks

Anyone install them on a FX card yet? I'd like to know before I do. I had a GF4Ti4200 128mb and moved up to a FX5600 256mb. I didn't see a real improvement in Q3 timedemos.

I still haven't upgraded, way too lazy to reboot my computer, but I'll get around to it eventually.

Yea, from what I heard the latest drivers are mainly just DX9 improvements, as NVidia is about done coding driver improvements for DX8.
That would explain the Halo FPS jump.

I got a lot of flashy textures while playing desert combat, so i rolled back. FX5600 256mb is what i have, but the new ones do run halo/hl2 a lot better. Only got a 9fps jump, but some of the textures look a little better.

Just upgraded myself. After a brief problem with nView not working at all (crashing on attempts to change settings), I uninstalled fully before reinstalling and seems to be working fine... (ti4200)

The new drivers trashed my textures in some games (Desert Combat) so I guess I have to roll back. Certain textures just vanish in game and you can see the wire frame. It's like the old "wall hack" drivers that ASUS had a while back
Is there a correct way to roll back to a previous version and which version do you recomend?
