Mandrake 8.2
I just installed Mandrake 8.2. I would have installed 9.0, but my disks were crap, so please don't give me too much grief. Anyway, my question is, is there anyway to change the mouse speed, it is super slow and very annoying. I'm a bit new to the Linux world, so take it easy on me.

i've never used 8.2, but am currently running 9.1.
What gui are you using? In KDE try going into the control center, choose "peripheral settings" and then "mouse" fool around in there with "pointer threshold" and see if that speeds it up for you.

There's a similar configuator for Gnome, in the Gnome Control Center. Look for the "Mouse" control panel.
wrkime, you should pull down some fresh ISOs. 9.1 has been out for a while, and 9.2 is about to be released. MANY security and package updates, and a much, much better user experience (in my opinion). If you just installed fresh, now's the time to do it, before you have a bunch of data to back up. |
