Weird ICQ message from friend.. a worm?
I got this in an ICQ message from a friend of mine.. copied and pasted directly.. This looks pretty weird to me.. the "you have fun at my house?" is from her I'm sure, but the rest of this stuff.. no idea how it got there.. seems like a worm/virus is the only reason..
Does anyone know of this kind of thing happening even Without a worm or virus? you have fun at my house?írequest and add me to your Contact List. Vinícius ICQ#173376531íg for me? What are you doing these days ... married ... university ... working?? Please give my love to your family. Unless those characters are the result of a languege translation that you don't have the langueage pack for, i would assume so.
Probably the phrase "have fun at my house" is just a preset phrase like those Re:whatever spams that try to get you to open them.

Sure it's not just an unterminated string?
Was this part of a conversation, or just random/out of the blue?

Sledge - good point, plus there's some numbers (1000, 2001) and correctly-oriented quotes in there («»)

I am the only user on my friend's contact list in ICQ, and this was a message she sent me while I was offline (so it was waiting for me) I know she wasn't talking with anyone else.. the "have fun at my house" part I am absolutely sure is from her, but the rest.. she sure didn't type it

Well unless your friend is a 16 year old male from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil named Orlando Vinícius, Im going to say it was part of a spam message or the like.
I remember last year I ran into a problem with a program that allowed people to send a message to you using the name of someone on your contact list. This was on Yahoo IM though.

I think it might be poor termination on top of some previous stuff she was sending to someone else... or something that someone on ICQ was sending to someone else (and it appeared from the ICQ server while it was waiting while you were offline)

IT's just like somone else's mail getitng dropped in your mailbox. Probably some guy talking with a friend in an Eastern Asian language. It doesn't look like a typical failed translation of Cyrillic characters, they usually end up with a lot of boxes (what is the proper name for that character?)
