Palm parts
 

Can anyone recommend good sources for palm parts?
I just picked up a Palm tungsten T on ebay for 13.50 with a cracked screen. Figured even if i couldn't fix it, i could send it back to palm and see what they could do. Price qoute from palm of about ~100.00 for a new screen and digitizer.

Does anyone know of a better place to source palm pilot components?

Even if you could find a better place to find the part, would Palm install it?

Just pay Palm the $100 and save yourself the time looking for it. Sounds like you got a great deal any way you look at it.

I want one of the new T3s.

palm's replacement is the best... i know someone who has replaced their own screen when it cracked.. a pain in the ass but it wasn't impossible.

I'd go for the 100 and you've only paid 113.50 for the unit... :)

A nameless company in the business of selling re-manufactured palms who had bid against me contacted me and asked if i'd be willing to re-sell it for a profit. They offered 55.00 and i took it, walking away a profit and still on the market for a tungsten T in the below 110.00 area.
I've also got a cracked lcd tungsten C that's i've been fiddling with turning into a lowpower wifi base unit by leaving it on the cradle for max power. If anyone is interested, I'll post about that.
