Problem with power connection to computer speakers
My cats have knocked my speakers off my desk a couple times. They haven't hit the ground but the cords have been yanked. I was listening to music tonight and the sound disappeared. The power connection going into the back o f my speaker is messed up somehow. I wiggled it around a bit and could get the power to work for a second, but it won't stay on.
Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it time to go get myself some new speakers? |
I should probably mention that they're cheapy speakers. Labtec - Spin 45

cut the cord open the speakers and hardwire them inside

Like ^ he said youll most like ly need to open up the speaker and resolder the power connection. For a pair of cheap speakers its probably alot easier just to replace them. Unless you enjoy that kind of thing.

Did some soldering at a summer job a while back but I don't have the equipment here for it, so I think I need to go shopping. :)
Thanks guys |

Oops, I meant "go shopping for new speakers", not for the soldering stuff.
