What email client do you use?
What email client do you use for POP mail?
I generally use what is packaged with a browser, but I am thinking it might be better to find a standalone application that may be better suited for email use. What email program(s) do you use, and what do you like/dislike about them? Also, are there any programs you highly recommend? Thanks.

I use Mulberry which is made by Cyrusoft... then again my employer has a site license for it so it's free... but it's very powerful for managing accounts, if you're comfortable with a very powerful tool. Otherwise I would probably just stick with OE since it works very well.

On my one computer I used Outlook until I moved and no longer have internet to it. Now on my family's computer I just bring it all into Yahoo Mail.

I used to use Mulberry, but didnt really like it. It is powerful, but I found its useability lacking, and since I didnt really need some of the features it had, I switched. I am now running Mozilla Thunderbird (their standalone client), and although it is a beta, I am very happy with it.

Kmail and Pegasus/Pocomail on the win systems. Have only been using Kmail on the Knoppix box lately due to certain "issues" requiring a long-overdue reinstall on the primary windows box.

Outlook at work, with Mailwasher helping me to filter everything.
At home: Trying to migrate to Thunderbird, but I hate how I can't check all accounts with one click (or I haven't figured that out yet). I have about a half dozen addresses I use on a daily basis and have weaned myself from the Hotmail spam factory.

I'm a little surprised at all the people who
mentioned Outlook. I guess I sort of knew that it could also handle e-mail, but its main function is the propagation of viruses. Especially the ones that like to send copies of themselves to all your [former] friends and business associates. I use Pegasus Mail. No cost, no problems. |
