Internet Explorer Questions...
Heya everyone.
I recently went back to Internet Explorer from Mozilla/Opera, because the new Google Bar is just that cool! Anyway, I had 2 questions relating to Internet Explorer I was hoping you could help me out with. 1) Whenever I open a new Internet Explorer window/page, it loads the page I am currently on. Is there any way to change it so "About: Blank" comes up instead? 2) When clicking links to forum posts in my email ("JoeDoe has replied.. click here, etc."), I find that every time I click a new message/link, it opens up in another window. This can get annoying, and I was wondering if there is a way to open all email links in the same browser window, instead of IE opening a new one for each link I click on? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping the above things can in fact be done, and I am just missing the options. Thanks.

i can answer the 2nd question.
go to tools -> internet options -> Advanced now scroll down and put a check by 'reuse internet explorer windows for launching links'

Thanks for the reply..
"Reuse windows for launching shortcuts." That is enabled, but they are still opening up in new windows every time.. I checked Outlook Express' preferences for a similiar, but didn't see one. And also, my homepage is set to "Blank," yet new windows still open up to whatever I currently have loaded. Both options should work, as you say, but it seems neither are.

I feel like I should get referral $ from these guys cuz I keep plugging them but it's always the answer....
I use MyIE2 ( www.myie2.com ) as my browser, and both these options (along with lots more) are very simple to apply. And Google Bar can be used with it. |

If it is a standalone browser, does it have all the capabilities and compatabilities that IE does with the Internet, including embedded movies and java?

From what I understand it's based on IE, if that's possible. It does have the look & feel of IE just more options and with tabbed pages, like Opera. |

The only thing it seems to lack is the "unattached window," as I think that is an operating system thing that only IE can do well.. But it does seem to be very nice. I am still tweaking it and such, but I don't see why to use IE over this, if only for the mouse gestures and tabbed browsing alone. I went back to IE after Mozilla due to some annoyances and inabilits to handle certain java and embedded movies on sites, and MyIE2 is holding up quite well so far. Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate it. EDIT: WOW. I just went to Yahoo Pool and the game window opened in a detached window.. So MyIE2 even supports that. I'm impressed.

It seems that for the longer titled favorites, their names are a little cramped, and thus run off screen..
