Strange Monitor Problem

Turned on my PC this morning, and discovered that my monitor's display has become distorted (See screenshot of the desktop here)
On the left and right hand edges everything is displayed really squashed up, so squares become narrow rectangles.
And in the middle of the display everything is more spread out, so a square becomes a short wide rectangle.
As far as I can tell, there are no controls on the monitor for this kind of distortion.
Anyone come across this kind of problem before, and have a suggestion for fixing it?

Specs: Monitor: Hansol 920D, OS: Win2k (SP 2)

Edit: som extra info
Rebooting didn't work, but I did discover that whatever the distortion is, it effects the win2k loading screen as well.
Also, I checked the cables and they're secure.

I can not see anything wrong in the screenshot provided. Maybe another that shows the distortion better would help.

You might see if there is an option for 'Reset to Factory Settings' in the monitor controls.

hang on, just had a thought
the screenshot will look normal (to anyone else), because the image i'm seeing isn't what the computer is sending to the monitor.

I'll try and cap some images with my web cam that'll show the distortion

Here we go, not the best quality, but they'll do
Circle near the center of the screen
Circle near the left of the screen
Both circles were created at exactly the same size, 300x300

Doh!
Yeah that would definately explain why it looked normal to me.

And I even looked at it with and without my glasses :D

Ah, fixed.
Went looking for a Factory Reset, was nothing in the OSD so I decided to check the back of the monitor and had to pull out the power cable.
When I plugged it back in, the display was back to normal.
