I suggest http://www.softhome.net/ because I use them . They provide excellent Pop3 service. I dunno about you, but for free email, I look for compatablity with outlook. Not sure about storage though.. Maybe someone has a better one for storage?

hotmail blows so many ways

err, yahoo isn't perfect either, but beats hotmail if you ask me. but duh, i have both hotmail & yahoo accounts.

luckily, neither of those are my primary email source, but they work for when i have to post an address somewhere.

If you are looking for POP access, hotmail provides free pop access only to outlook express.

so, u can store the emails on the hd.

Netscape mail has a 5 mb storage limit. If you use their browser it integrates with their email program as well.

Yahoo is nice. There are programs to get around the POP limitations for it, so you can use your own program if you please. Look for YahooPOPs.

Getting anything for free nowdays is near impossible so if u need lots of space i would recomend using The_Dude suggestion of incorparating outlook and hotmail but make sure u have a virus checker installed cause in my experience outlook sucks. But a problem i frequently have with hotmail is that i get server busy messages and have to try again later to check my mail. Not a fan of Yahoo just because i don't the feel of it.
