Mandrake Linux 9.1. I know its not the super kryptonite atom smasher that some of the other disto's are, but it works well enough for me.

Good ole OpenSSH (bugs and all) and wget. Makes downloading my stuff from easynews easy. ssh into my home box from work, wget -b url, let it go, when I get home my stuff is waiting for me.
I tried gentoo, redhat, most other big distros, and cant get any of em to work with my damn wireless I refuse to go back to a wire just to use linux on my laptop. So when wireless just works (and yes, I spent a week trying to get it to work properly) I will use it on my laptop. Until then, its (linux) for servers. |

OpenSSH, GAIM, XMMS, Mplayer, and Nethack
those are the ones that come right to mind, but there are a lot more.
