What's the best program to use to send resumes?

Besides Microsoft Word, which I guess is the norm, but I can't use it, is there another program I can use to send my resumes to companies?

You could send it in PDF also, or if you want, HTML and in TXT.. I myself send a few versions when someone asks for mine..

i also send them out as .pdf, so i do not have to worry about what the person on the other end is using to read it.

you could also save your resume as an html doc, i would say that that format would be ever more widely accepted than pdf, just because if you dont have a web browser installed with your os, then you probably dont want to work for that company anyway

notepad is just fine and dandy.

Most companies have online application systems anyways and would just prefer ASCII resumes.

When I see a fancy smancy resume I immediately get turned off.

Erm... that's not strictly true.

Like it or not, MS Word is the defacto standard for exchanging documents and therefore resumes.

If you don't have word, or don't like it, your best bet is indeed PDF format.
