Time shown on incomming email
My email (outlook express) inbox shows that the time I received the email is 4 hours off. If I get an email at 1:05 pm, it shows received at 9:15 am. When I send out a message, it does show the correct time going out. Also the clock on my computer shows the correct time. Does anyone have any advice?

How is your time zone set?
And is this with ALL incoming mail or just from a single person/organization... I think incoming mail has the "send" time and not the actual "receive" time displayed... Could be wrong though |
The primary mail server that processes your mail may have an incorrect clock setting (or time zone). Once again I'm in agreement with Silvy... check your time zone first.

Depending on the service and your email client, that time might be the time that the email server recieved the email.
Just a thought |
