Kick ass ASCII movies
http://www.romanm.ch/english/ascii-movies.htm
The Matrix is sweet. I can't check out the others yet, as I'm on a limited time schedule. But I assume they all rock. Enjoy!

Under linux there is a spcial progam (plugin?) that allows you to watch movies in ASCII.
I don't have it so I don't know which program it is, but others here will know what I'm talking about

Fun.
That's so old school. There was a lot of ASCII art in the early 80s. I remember building fancy, multicolor, and animated ASCII screens for text-based software. Things were so much simpler in the old days.

cradeg: i made a tool to make coloured ASCII pics, its pretty easy to use, it doesnt used the same method as those,
http://www.finitemonkeys.com/ASCIIPr0n.exe It will generate MASSIVE files and take a long time to process, if you give it big pictures, and the HTML output has been known to kill Mac-OSX stone dead I had started working on an movie to ascii last week, but i was going to have to convert them back to images afterwards to display, that site gave me the way in html. |
