Mine's 1280X1024, but I have a flat panel, and that's it's native resolution. I would like to go higher but can't.

1024 - but at work, we assume the default is 800x600, just to be sure everyone can see all of our content.

My monitor could do 1600x1200 with decent refresh rate, but in that case I have to wear my glasses. And I hate them...

1280x1024 IS the weird resolution The ratio for it is 1.25 whereas the proper ratio for a screen is 1.333333 (etc).

I use 1600x1200

I use 1024x768 because usually running anything higher starts making the text and icons on the desktop look too small (using the default windows fonts and not changing it to the large fonts/icons).
I would prob use a higher resolution if I needed the dektop real estate, but for surfing and playing full screen games 1024x768 seems to be the best resolution for me. Then again some people are limited by the size of thier monitors.... i wouldn't want to see a peson on a 15" monitor trying to run 1600x1200...

19" here too. Just takes a little getting used to. I used to run 1280x1024 but 1) I found out it's not a "proper" resolution and 2) I decided to try something larger. After a little while I was used to it

would like to go higher but it looks "funny" when I do that, not sure if it is my somewhat aging poorly ATI AIW 7500 or the monitor.
my secondary 17" monitor sharing the Debian and Win2k box runs at 1280x1024 as well usually.

It's the max resolution for my monitor and it does it at a nice 85Hz....
It doesn't let me go any further, but I don't know if I would... I like it very much like this!

1280x1024, I'd go higher but can't... damn monitor (though it's still huge and awesome).

FYI 1280x960 is the proper aspect ratio, somehow 1280x1024 got standardised, not sure how.

Any larger than that and I wouldn't be able to read any text because I like sitting back a bit from the screen.

2304x864. Have that Nvidia DualView thing. Two monitors that w2k thinks are one.

Any higher res and text becomes an unholy bitch to read, so I don't really see the point. I have seen some people who jack the hell out of their screen res, and then they can't see shit on it cos everything is so small.
