Bit Torrent

Anybody using this? I think its a neat little sharing program. I just downloaded it and am using it right now. Any good sites out there you can share with a torrent "n00b" like me? :D

I currently use the Experimental Version.
I use BT for downloading Unliscenced Anime.
Its a great tool and many companies are using it as a distribution method.
They currently use it for new driver, game patches and other items that would have high traffic after release.
It allows the company to relieve the bandwidth pressure from their servers and allow more people to obtain the files a lot quicker.

yep if any of the filesharing tools are honest, BT is.

Just talking about a particular file sharing program called BitTorrent. Specifically, I find BitTorrent to be excellent for downloading the latest RedHat Linux ISOs, as the public RedHat download servers can be extremely slow. The BitTorrent trackers are an excellent way to find people with torrents for RedHat ISOs or any other large files that are difficult or slow to download from their original public sources.

Although I agree that illegal downloading probably comprises the majority of file sharing with P2P apps, there are a few great AND legal uses of programs like BitTorrent.

ack, hun... Kyp said something, I removed it and noted that what he put up was against our rules. figured everyone'd notice the "edited by cheerios" tag. sorry to mislead you!

I use it.

There are a lot of games, apps, music, videos, TV shows and pr0n too.

It used to work for me, but now all I get is "connecting to peers" - and then nothing!
Has any of you experienced the same? It's not my firewall, tried switching it off, no change.

You could go to google and try doing a search for p2p forums. Chances are you might be able to find a few links to good bittorrent sites somewhere.

^.^

I seem to get pretty good download rates for BT stuff, although since there was no built-in search thingy for BitTorrent++ (plus it brought my computer to a crawl), it a little more inconvenient than something with a built in search feature like eMule or Kazaa/Gnutella... Either way, good luck!

I also had the problem of intolerable lagging. It got pretty bad and i had to uninstall BitTorrent.
