My Computer won't recognize a hard drive, but it shows up in Device Manager
I out an 80GB WD drive in my system, running through a Maxtor IDE controller that's in one of my PCI slots. I also have two 60GB WD drives running as Master and Slave off my IDE 1 slot on my motherboard. The 80GB drive isn't showing up in My Computer and I can't figure out why not.
I used to have the system set up with a 60GB WD drive as Master with a 40GB drive as slave on IDE 1, with a 60GB WD drive running off the Maxtor IDE controller. Basically all that has changed is that the 40GB drive was removed, the second 60GB drive was put in its place, and then an 80GB drive was put in the 2nd 60GB drive's old spot. Any suggestions? BTW, like I mentioned in the title, the Device Manager shows the 80GB drive, no prob.
