Task list on wrong side
 

You know the common task list in my computer on the left.

Well I downloaded a cool shell, its great apart from the list is on the right, does anyone know how to switch it back

i'm guessing you're talking about the quicklaunch bar on the taskbar? The little icons to the right of the start menu button and to the left of where your programs are shown on the taskbar? On windows98 you should see some dividers in the taskbar. Try dragging these around!

no, im talking about the task menu in "my computer", i think its only in xp

sorry for not being specific, the new skin a got for xp decided to shift it over to the right,

its the one with commands like "rename this file, copy this file etc"

i still dont get it.

can you take a screenshot and point it out to us?

I get it, but I have no idea how to fix it.

What he means is the thing on the side of folders when it's not set for Windows Classic View and instead has the common tasks on the left side of folders. Somehow he got it on the right.

whats wrong with having it on the right instead of left?

um, cause he doesn't like it that way ;)

Forgive my amateur psychoanalysis, but based on the fact he's the type of computer user who uses skins on his OS (which one must go out of their way to do on Windows), I'm guessing he's fairly picky about having things the way he wants them :)

Next time I'm looking on skinning sites for more wallpapers, I'll see if I can find a mention of a way to fix your problem.

i've searched for it, can't find it. if you could please provide a link to where you downloaded it, i might be able to find information there.

The theme itself may be set to display tasks on the right. I know of no way to move that part around.

Its cool, ill just live with it, im sure it wont take too long to get used to

there might be a clue in the customization html for that drive.

i'd bet thats where its set
