DVD Region Coding
Friend of mine asked me this one, and damn if it isn't just on the tip of my mind. Some sort of program that will allow you to constantly change the region coding of your computer DVD player. If what I'm asking violates any of the TFP charter, please delete this thread as quick as possible. As far as I know this program would only kill the stupid region restriction that the movie companies screw us with. Thanks!

google "region free (make, model). You should get plenty of ideas, or even info if your unit can't be cracked. Be careful, make sure that there are several referals that state the crack works for your exact model.

Google "The Firmware Page".. you should come up w/ a page that has RPC1 code for your DVD's ROM (possibly).. keep in mind patching can be dodgy. Use at your own risk.
As for a software-based solution, I've used DVDRegionFree with perfect results (on a Windows machine). I think it combined with some other software to become DVDIdlePro now. |
