QuickTime & Real Scheduler
they're pissin me off real bad.
they both have entries in the startup list and every time i uncheck them and reboot, they come back again. wtf do they want? it's MY pc and i dont want them loading on startup. i know it doesnt take up many resources, but i like startups to be as clean as possible. anyway to permanantly stop these bastards from loading? plz dont suggest uninstalling either program, as i use 'em both a lot. |
Try and go into the program options and turn off Start on Boot. Thats what I had to do to MSN to make it quit starting up all the time, even after MSConfig
|
Yeah...msconfig and then disable "load startup items". Quicktime pisses me off. Wish I didn't need to use it at all.

Realplayer is the worst, full of spyware, junk and shit you don't need/want or will ever use. |
as for win2k, i've heard people that actually copied the msconfig file and run it on the 2k systems.
they said it gives off a couple of errors on loading msconfig, but works otherwise. there are also third party programs that will let u control startup. |
