I recently got a used Palm IIIxe, and it worked fine until a few minutes ago. Now, It displays three pairs of vertical lines on the screen over everything. It's not the type I would get from a cracked screen, and they change brightness randomly without affecting any other pixels in the columns. Right now, it's down to the point where they're not noticable unless I hold it at a certain angle, but I doubt that they'll stay gone for long. Anyone have any similar problems and know what's going on? I tried hard resetting, popping the batteries for a while, and neither affected it.

I did have a similar situation.
I had somehow reset the contrast without knowing it.
Have yo tried readjusting that?

I didn't think of that when I talked to you, MSD. If you missed it, the contrast is a small black dial just below and to the right of the reset hole on the back. That might work...
