New router and my Earthlink account
I just hooked up a new wireless router on my desktop. Now my wife can use her laptop anywhere in the house and be connected at the same time as me. The router is working well with IE browser. When I tried to log onto Earthlink through my Earthlink program, it does not log on. I guess I have to change my configurations, but I do not know what to change them to. Can anyone please help me? Thank you. I am use Windows XP if that helps.

you may have to enter the host name or domain name....you'd have to call EL to find out.
btw, what brand router?

Mike, I figured I might have to call Earthlink. I put in my IP addy default gateway and all. The only thing i didn't know was my host and domain names. Thanks for the advice. I got a Netgear router. My favorite site is www.edealinfo.com I got the router and wireles card for the laptop for free. Actually, after rebates and all I MADE 5 bucks on the deal. edealinfo is a great site
Thanks again |
