How to force MIE to remember a password? - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Originally when logging into a site on the internet MIE asked if I wanted it to remember the login/password. Inadvertantly I clicked no. That's not what I want and can't figure out how to reset the option for that log in screen to make MIE remember it. Any ideas how to do it?

open IE

Tools
Internet options
Content tab then on content screen auto complete your settings are in there

Actually, if you want IE to remember for the particular site where you already clicked "No", there's a simple fix. Go back to that site, then click in the username texbox: you should see a mini drop down list of all user IDs you've typed for this particular logon screen. Use the keyboard the arrow down onto your user ID (e.g. "jsmith") and hit the "Delete" key. This erases the setting that IE had stored for this user ID for that particular website. Now you can retype your user ID and logon again. IE should re-prompt you with the "Do you want IE to remember your password" question...
