can it get any better than this??
ok so about three weeks ago my GeForce4 TI-4800 decides to have its fan fail and die. ok not a huge deal, i get an RMA from MSI and send it in. they received it on the 31st of july. ok on the 6th i get an email saying my RMA # has been changed due to their new system. ok no big deal. today its the 15th. they said they have a 7 day turn around time. so i'm thinkin.... where is my card? i call them up and the guy tells me that the problem is that they dont have my card in stock and wont for awhile. so to appease me he says we can give u a GeForceFX 5600. i'm thinkin hmmm, sounds ok, but i wanna check it out first. i tell him i'll call him back and let him know. www.tomshardware.com here we come. well after just a minute or two, i know that i cant settle for the 5600 because its performance is about half that of the 4800. so i call the guy back and tell him that the 5600 wouldnt suffice becuase the performance is about half, and also about half of what i paid for the card like 3 months ago. so he says hold on a minute.....holding....holding....holding..... comes back in like 5 minutes and says. "ok here's what we can do for u" we can give u the GeForceFX 5900 Ultra VTD256." i'm a little dumbfounded for a second, but i keep my sanity, and just for effect tell the guy. "hold on for just a second so i can check it out." then i tap a bit on my keyboard and stuff and then tell him, " ok, that looks like it will get the job done."
I just about creamed my pants when i hung up the phone.
