midi port for laptop via usb
For the musical computer geeks out there,
I have a laptop and want to connect it to a Casio musical keyboard. The keyboard has a cable that is supposed to plug into the midi/game port on a sound card. Of course, my laptop does not have a midi/game port. It has an on-board sound chip but the only output is a stereo speaker jack. Can anyone recommend a cheap and easy way of making the connection? The laptop has a 25 pin parallel port, two usb ports, two pcmcia slots, a CF slot and an SDIO slot. Goal: I want to run some musical scoring software (PrintMusic) on the laptop and interface it to the keyboard (both directions). Help!!! |
