I also had a old ass ISA scsi scanner, stupid POS. My father paid $3500 for the thing, it was only the second one in all of Nova Scotia (or so I was told) anyway I suggest you get a new one. Yours is only 1200/600 DPI @ 30bit, probably slow as shit and a big loud thing. If I am wrong please ignore me. Anyway I went out and got myself a Canon 5000f, can scan 4800/2400 @ 48bit, does Negatives, and Slides and is like 100000x faster then the old scsi isa scanner. Also it looks bitchin beside my i950 and looks are 9/10ths of a printer/scanner hehehehe
![]() Anyway if you happen to find a PCI card that will accept a old scanner PM me if you could. I wouldn't mind finding one for the simple fact I dont like having hardware sitting around gathering dust when I could give it to a friend or something |

I've got the same scanner; I've also got the same problem; my solution: I bought a used Adaptec SCSI PCI card on e-bay. The reason I decided to stay with the Sceptre; it's Linux supported.
Good Luck.
