SCSI converter/adapter question
Okay recently got ahold of a Yamaha CDRW
http://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/prod...crw4416s_e.pdf Problem is that it is a 50 pin and the computer it is supposed to go into is a 40 pin. Is there any way I could get ahold of something that would make this possible? I know I am showing glowing ignorance here, but I am completely stumped. I have done googles and ebay searches for scsi adapter/converter stuff and I am not coming up with anything that I think would work. Is there something I am missing or am I just screwed on this one? Thanks in advance |

doh, sorry its just not been my day today
40 pin on the PC side is IDE its a SCSI drive, you can do IDE perphiperal to SCSI bus, but not the other way around, at least not that i know of. Yes you will need a SCSI card in your PC. apologies MPEDDrummer, i was thinking the header on the CD, not the PC. |
