i have received about 5 of these emails and they contain about 1000 forwarded emails using cc.

i just thought it was hilarious on how people could fall for something like this!

lol... I once forwarded a similar mail only about a virus (if you know it it's the hoax about the bear thingee) to everyone on my list with the explanation of what a hoax is and if they bothered me again with something like that I'd send them one of MY viruses so they'd really have something to worry about.

Never got one again... coincidentally a lot of my emails now bounce... strange... ;) :p
Man I was pissed that day, prob because I'd gotten mails like that all week from just about everybody.

But you see, without dumb people, computer techies would be out of a job, fixing the computers for all the people who believed the email from the president telling them to delete their C drive as a matter of national security! (Okay, so I made that one up, but I KNOW people would do it!).

To me, that emails screams "HOAX!"

I know educated (up to PhD, who are programmers !) people who would send that email along without a second thought. I know because I've received so many.

Sigh - just another case of time wasting spam.

People will believe anything that's written or typed.

I have female relatives who have my email address. They often forward these hoaxes. I forward then in return links to Snopes. One day they'll learn to check snopes before forwarding these damn things. I live in hope.

I dont understand the point of starting one of these emails. And yeah, I get them all the time. Only one I ever sent around was the one based on "The Ring", cuz I wanted most of those people I sent it to to die... nyah

I used to get that email at least once a month...but then I told everyone I know don't forward that type of bullshit anymore and I told them the proof that its false.....

Hotmail sucks so bad most people would jump up and click their heels thinking their POS spamoramma hotmail account was going to be deleated :lol:

That kind of email is so old now everyone knows they're fake. Although i bet they actually catch a few people out now and again.

I thought this was a scam myself, but two weeks after receiving this e-mail and forwarding it on, Microsoft contacted me for my address and within days, I received a cheque for US $24,800.00. You need to respond before the beta testing is over. If anyone can afford this Bill Gates is the man.

It's all marketing expense to him. Please forward this to as many people as possible.

We're not going to help them out with their e-mail beta test without getting a little something for our time. My brother's girlfriend got in on this a few months ago. When I went to visit him for the Baylor/UT game.

She showed me her check. It was for the sum of $4,324.44 and was stamped "Paid In Full".
