Site Rip
Anybody know how to perform a site rip?
A program that can d/l all of the images from a specified directory on a webpage? Thanks |
There's lots of them.
SnagIT is a good one. It's a comprehensive image capture tool, so you can also use it to make all kinds of screen captures too. Very useful and highly recommended. Mr mephisto |
Offline Explorer. i use the enterprise version.
for a free (and very good) but 'geekish' way...use wget. it's commandline... (btw, this belongs in the computer forum ;) ) when this gets moved to the proper forum, i can post my lil tutorial... :) |
I concur. Offline Explorer rocks! Good times...
|
For this purpose alone is why I have Internet Explorer 5.5 for Mac OS X on my computer. Just load the site and select "Save as..." and you can save it as an IE Web Archive. Of course, the Web Archive format is proprietary, so I would (and am going to) look into Offline Explorer.

I'm personaly a big fan of curl, which is like wget comand line. Wget is also a good one, very powerfull
On a side note this has been discussed to death in the "links" forum of the E-Zone http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...&threadid=2409 |

does anyone know if any of these work on wallbase.cc? i'm almost at my wits end abd nothing seems to work for that site.
|
I've always just written python scripts to go grab images I want, using wget. You can even have it follow links and look for do recursive harvesting. If you search pastebin or similar, you should be able to find one.
If you can't find one, let me know. I'll write one up for you. |
