Projectors for an organazation
what type of things would you guys suggest to look for as far as projectors? Just a few basics and if you know any good brands or models then I'm open to suggestions.

I would look for no less than 1024x768 resolution. 800x600 isn't enough anymore.
DLP type projectors seem to be a bit clearer. Also look at the cost of replacement bulbs. Edit: Of course, lookat the types of inputs. VGA and Composite of course, but DVI, SVideo and Component would be beneficial in the future.

Lumens! Make sure you get a model bright enough for your environment. I wouldn't go with anything dimmer than 1500 lumens. The higher the better.
I recommend http://www.projectorpeople.com They have several tutorials, and are nice people to deal with. |

cool deal,
Right now ive got my specs narrowed down to something with at least XGA, 5-10lbs, and between 2000-3000 lumens. The org im working for is willing to spend about $4000 bucks so I want to do some research and get them something with DVI and both RGB in and out. Thanks for the help guys.

Go to www.CEDIA.org and find a designer in your area. They should be able to recomend something to you based on your needs.
