I get this error a lot. Everytime I go to a site that uses it that window pops up and asks me to do Windows Update. Well, instead of sorting through those patches and builds on Microsoft's page, here's a handy uploaded Virtual Machine for download from yours truly:

Odd, I've never once gotten an error about virtual machine. Nor have I had issues locating updates to it on Windows Update.

What sort of errors did you get?
