I think I'm going to start building a new machine soon and I was wondering if we could start a thread where we posted good deals on HW. Other MBs have done this and it's been really successful. With the amount of people that use this board we could probably generate some good leads.

Or is there already something like that going on here?

Newegg normally has good deals on shipping, as well as offering fairly cheap hardware. I'd be pretty wary about shopping through bottom-bin resellers just to save a buck here and there, as you want to make sure that your hardware functions and, should it break, you want to be able to get a replacement.

There are several boards dedicated to this (none on TFP that I know of) which seem to have all evolved into repost of each other.

While this sounds like a cool idea, I wonder how much bandwidth it would consume.

Newegg. There are many other places to buy from, check out www.resellerratings.com before you do though. I don't do business with any place that has less than an 8 rating.

Just go to the forums and then the Hot Deals section. I have not tried too many of them but the schemes that they create are just wonderous. If you want good deals definetly check that.
