Quieting my computer
My computer sounds like a muthafuckin jet blasting off! Is their any way to Quiet it down? It has 4 80mm fans, plus the power supply and cpu fans. Should I buy a fan controller, remove a fan or two, or is their something else I could do? Or should I just say fuck it and put in a militairy style case.

buy fans that dont make sounds.
i was checking out newegg the other day, and they have measurements on fans on the noise they make (in decibels). thought it was really coool.

meh. just take all the fans out and coat your hard drive and cd-rom drive with thick insulating foam... you won't get a peep outta that thing.

I use this vibration damping stuff they use for DJ's comps. It is dense, rubber-like sheets that are peel and stick. I covered the inside of my side panels, the bottom and top. and the front, including the holes for empty drive bays, and back, including the extra vent holes. This means the airflow is in and out through the fans only. I also used rubber/plastic washers to mount all fans, drives and Other screw-mounted bits. I use the progy that come with the mobo to monitor and automatically adjust the fan speeds as needed. Right now, I can barely hear the case noise, the fans are turning at 2300 rpm or less and the cpu temp is 47C.

Haha, I like Mrklixx's suggestion the best. You never know with computers, it could appeal to your computer's sense of duty. Then again, you could get really long cables and such and put the computer in a closet or something.

Instead of running your fans at 12v, run them at 7v. This is an easy mod to do...and it will make a BIG difference.
