Quick DMZ host question.

Hey, I want to set myself as a DMZ host. I want to set it to 192.168.1.1 right? Is that me or is that the router?

Oh, also. Do I need to reboot the router after changing a setting or is that fine?

*rummages for the manual*

192.168.1.1 is the router.

By default, you are probably something like 192.168.1.100.

You shouldn't need to reboot. Just "Apply" the changes.

If you are going to set your computer as DMZ, I hope you are running a firewall.

I second that. My Linksys router doesn't need to restart for the DMZ.

192.168.1.1 is the router. To set yourself as DMZ, you first need to find your local IP. Go to Start -> Run. Type in "command". (without the quotes). type in ipconfig. there's your local ip.
