Quick DMZ host question.
Hey, I want to set myself as a DMZ host. I want to set it to 192.168.1.1 right? Is that me or is that the router?
|
Oh, also. Do I need to reboot the router after changing a setting or is that fine?
*rummages for the manual* |
192.168.1.1 is the router.
By default, you are probably something like 192.168.1.100. You shouldn't need to reboot. Just "Apply" the changes. If you are going to set your computer as DMZ, I hope you are running a firewall. |
I second that. My Linksys router doesn't need to restart for the DMZ.

my d-link 504 does require a reboot, it always requires a reboot, even randomly :/

192.168.1.1 is the router. To set yourself as DMZ, you first need to find your local IP. Go to Start -> Run. Type in "command". (without the quotes). type in ipconfig. there's your local ip.
