Hi there.
I work for a video production company, mainly as an engineer. We do a lot of digital video work. The great thing about adobe premiere 6 is that it has firewire imports. If you have a firewire card on your PC you can digitize directly from the camera onto your PC and then edit, add effects, etc.etc.etc. What do you need help working on? I can try and point you in the right direction.

Yeah in fact I just started my own home business this past November. Its a great job for a student because most of my jobs are weddings or some other event thats on a weekend. Anyway I picked up a XL1s and a Matrox X100 capture card (Came with Premiere 6.5) and now I am well on my way
Only thing I found out was that no matter what more HDD space is better |

I use Premiere 6.5 and After Effects 5.5, both are great programs. It looks like Adobe just release Premiere Pro, which looks quite good. http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/main.html

well, one of the things i was kinda wondering is how i can get some text on the footage using premire. i dont even know if you can, im just curious. also, what is a good way of getting pictures of video? yeah, i really like that adobe has the built in capture, it has much better quality, and its so much easier beacuse it imports right to the program.
thanks for the help! |

Use a Premiere Titler program, there is a great one stock with 6.5, Also if you want a picture just use the command CTRL+SHIFT+M it will export a bmp of your vid, and then all thats needed is a Deinterlace in Photoshop or some other photo prog.
