It's in System32 and called calc.exe

SiN 07-16-2003 09:32 AM

...and to run it, just go to run and type in 'calc'.

blindside 07-16-2003 09:34 AM

thanks for the quick response. I guess my comp had no intentions of installing the calculator

This is very funny because the person in the office next to mine was just complaining that she couldn't find her calculator when she got back from a sales trip...

When I saw the topic heading I thought for a second it might be her...

There's a difference between not having it and not being able to find it ;) :o

I recently reformatted with windows xp pro, and my calc was not installed either. Very weird!

Hi...I reckon you will have to use 'Control panel' and go to 'Add/remove programs' and go in 'Add/remove windows components' and select 'Accessories & utilities' click 'Details' and select 'Accessories' and click 'Details' and you can add paint & calculator by checking the box next to it and click 'Ok' and Windows will do the rest. -=MaxQz=-
U will need ur windows xp cd to install em, but just follow what he says, it works :D

I think that it's just weird that what is "normally" installed in previous versions of windows suddenly becomes "not needed" even though just about everybody seems to use these programs.

i bet you can just go to 'add/remove windows components' in add/remove programs, and put the calculator back that way
